Who can become a reviewer with ReviewPRO?
Researchers with at least one peer-reviewed publication and demonstrated expertise in a scientific field are eligible. We welcome early-career scientists, senior academics, and professionals from diverse disciplines.
How are reviewers selected for each article?
Reviewers are matched based on their field of expertise, availability, past performance, and quality rating. Our AI-powered system suggests candidates, and the final assignment is confirmed by a human editor.
Can I choose which articles to review?
Yes. You’ll receive invitations based on your profile and can accept or decline each request. There’s no obligation to accept all invitations — we respect your time and workload.
Are reviews anonymous?
By default, reviews are single-blind (authors do not see the reviewers). However, journals can choose open peer review or disclose identities if the context allows. Your public profile will never show confidential review content.
Do I get paid for reviewing?
Yes. You can choose between different reward options: monetary compensation, academic credits, crypto tokens, partner discounts, or public recognition through a reviewer profile and certificate.
How does AI assist in the review process?
Our AI tools support — not replace — your expertise. They help analyze manuscript structure, highlight missing components, and offer suggestions to improve the clarity and logic of your assessment. You remain fully in control of your review.
Will I be trained or guided?
Yes. We are developing a full reviewer training program (coming soon), with guides, examples, certification, and mentorship. Until then, you’ll have access to a structured review form and support if needed.
Can I update my profile or preferences?
Absolutely. You can update your fields of expertise, availability, reward preferences, and more at any time from your reviewer dashboard.
How is my performance evaluated?
Each review is rated by journal editors based on clarity, depth, timeliness, and constructiveness. This helps improve your reviewer profile and ensures fairness in future reviewer selection.
